Biografie
Freek graduated in 2019 as an actor and theater maker at the Ghent School of Arts KASK in the Master Drama.
He worked in theatre as a performer for Miet Warlop with 'After All Springville', and before for 4Hoog with the performance 'Stekeblind', a collaboration with Frans Van der Aa and Raf Walschaerts. Afterwards he made the family performance Bla Bla Blues together with fellow performer Femke Platteau, with which he toured through Flanders. He has been part of the young collective Camping Sunset, where he worked on 'Happiness', 'Ten Oorlog II' and 'Ten Oorlog III'. In 2021, he played the role of Haushofmeister in Ariadne auf Naxos, a concert opera by Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. Before he worked also with Kris Verdonck/A Two Dogs Company, TAAT, Jan Martens/Lukas Dhont, De Vieze Gasten, ...
Besides theater he has also been seen on television, for example as Jonas in 'D5R'.
Freek has worked as theatre coach at Larf!, Kopergietery and Wildtgroei. He also has experience as a teacher in drama for all ages. Freek also works in his spare time for Belgian fashion designer Tom Van Der Borght.
